Norwegian creative agency SMFB takes best prize at Gullblyanten marketing awards
For the second consecutive year, Norway’s leading creative digital agency SMFB received the Grand Prix at the Gullblyanten marketing awards in Oslo. The agency also won several Gold and Silver awards in other categories. SMFB took the Grand Prix for their “We Made It Rain” campaign for the shoe manufacturer Geox. This year’s event saw a total of 550 nominations competing in 22 categories.
“We are very happy with the results and are looking forward to a great 2014”, said Christian Steen, CEO of SMFB. “We are developing as an agency and have recently started a new initiative in cooperation with Nordic eMarketing called SMFB Engine, which focuses on what you might call ‘activation’. For creative agencies like SMFB it is important that we have the capacity and knowledge to understand what is happening in digital media. The creative as such is the base of our work, but the activation of the idea is very important and that is where we want to shine”.
On top of their Norwegian award, SMFB have recently won Grand Prix at Eurobest Advertising Festival in Lisbon in December 2013. The agency’s initiative SMFB Engine is now being nominated for Best Use of Social with Search at the 2014 European Search Awards, which will be held in Reykjavik on 28 March 2014.
SMFB’s clients include both local and international brands such as Geox, Ikea, Maarud, Mondelez and Statoil.
