Nordic eMarketing team was presented with two prestigious prizes at the third annual European Search Awards. During the ceremony, Nordic eMarketing was awarded a Grand Prix to for the Best PPC Campaign, whilst Kristjan Mar Hauksson, founder and owner of the company, was crowned European Search Personality of the Year 2014.
Reykjavik was chosen to host the third annual European Search Awards ceremony, which took place in Barcelona last year and in Amsterdam the year before that.
“It’s a great honour for an Icelandic company to receive such a prestigious award in its home country. This is indeed a turning point in the history of our company,” said Hreggvidur Magnusson, CEO of Nordic eMarketing.
The Best PPC Campaign award recognises the results of a pay-per-click campaign for Icelandic low-cost airline WOW air, which gave the air carrier online visibility across Europe.
Haukur Jarl Kristjansson, head of PPC at Nordic eMarketing declared, “NeM has developed a holistic methodology over the past decade. All of this along with our passion for what we do, as well as working with the great staff members at WOW air, such as Erla Bjorgheim, is a recipe for success and long-lasting results.”
Nordic eMarketing founder and owner Kristjan Mar Hauksson was on the other hand presented with the distinguished Search Personality of the Year award, which recognizes “a talented and inspiring practitioner who has revolutionised the European search industry.”
“On a personal level, I am humbled and honoured that the judges’ panel considered me for the award. As a company, it gives us further boost in reaching out to fellow marketers and in advocating for the advancement of the wonderful industry we work for,” said Kristjan Mar upon receiving the prize.
“This great industry we work for is still developing and we are in a way like miniature Gutenbergs who are shaping the industry as we are moving forward and developing.”
Nordic eMarketing staff dutifully celebrated the hard-earned awards on the ceremony night.
