Nordic eMarketing attends DNA2008

Director of Nordic eMarketing, Kristjan M. Hauksson, chaired a discussion on digital advertising at the DNA2008 conference which was held in Brussels this week.

DNA2008 (Digital News Affairs) is a two-day gathering of over 250 senior editorial and business executives from print and broadcast news media, including organisations such as The Guardian, BBC, Reuters, ART and de Telegraaf.

Joining Kristjan at the conference were more than 50 experts from the world's most innovative media companies. They spoke on the potential opportunities and challenges facing media companies who are losing viewers, readers, ad revenue and credibility through their traditional platforms.

As the world moves over to broadband, nonlinear and video on demand, one of the main sessions 'Advertising what exactly?' discussed how advertisers are viewing the new content landscape.

Kristjan chaired the session which addressed how marketers are adjusting their working practices and expectations and what they will soon come to expect from media companies and content providers.

The session included the speakers Richard Foan, Managing Director of ABCe, Maurits van Rijckevorsel, Business Manager Cross Media of De Telegraaf and Norm Johnston, joint CEO of MindShare Interaction EMEA.
