Congratulations to Atuagagdliutit - Grønlandsposten with the new website
Atuagagdliutit - Grønlandsposten has been developing their website over recent months with Nordic eMarketing consulting and DaCoda supplying content management system and know-how. The new web is specially designed for Greenlandic conditions; for example it's totally bi-lingual, everything is published simultaneously in Greenlandic and Danish.
Atuagagdliutit, which was established in 1861, is among the world´s oldest newspapers still in publication. Greenland's switch to home government, the country´s full-independence movement and climate changes are some of the reasons why reliable daily distribution of news has never been more important in Greenland.
For geographical reasons, printed newspapers are only distributed once or twice a week and must be sent to villages and settlements all along the Greenlandic coast. In area, Greenland is similar to India with a coastline some 39,330 km long. That's almost the same as the Earth's circumference at the Equator!
